Itinerary
- Welcome to Sri Lanka! We will pick you up at the airport and take you straight to your hotel in Colombo to rest.
- In the late afternoon, stretch your legs with a walk around the historic Old Fort area.
- Catch your first sunset at Galle Face Green, a popular oceanside park.
- Spend the night at your Colombo hotel.
- Enjoy breakfast before we drive to Kandy, the cultural center of the island.
- Check into your hotel and grab lunch at a highly rated local restaurant.
- Take a relaxing walk around the scenic Kandy Lake, followed by a visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya.
- Watch a traditional Kandyan cultural dance performance in the late afternoon.
- Visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic during the evening ceremony.
- Return to your hotel for dinner and a good night's rest.
- Start the day with breakfast at your Kandy hotel.
- Choose your travel style: enjoy a scenic drive up the mountains, or let us book you a ticket for the famous highland train ride while your driver transports your luggage.
- Arrive in Nuwara Eliya and check into your hotel.
- Visit a working tea plantation and factory to see exactly how pure Ceylon tea is made.
- Enjoy a fresh cup of tea and a light lunch at the plantation.
- Spend the late afternoon walking, cycling, or taking a boat ride around Gregory Lake.
- Head back to your hotel for dinner.
- Have breakfast before we drive through the mountain roads to Ella.
- Hike up to Ella Rock. This is a moderate 3 to 4 hour trek, but the views from the top are completely worth the effort.
- Refuel with lunch at one of Ella’s local cafes.
- Walk along the jungle path to see the famous Nine Arches Bridge.
- Enjoy dinner at a recommended restaurant overlooking the Ella gap before heading to your hotel for the night.
- Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before we leave the cool hill country and drive down to Yala.
- Stop for lunch at a local restaurant near the park entrance.
- Take a 4x4 jeep for an afternoon wildlife safari in Yala National Park. Look out for wild elephants, colorful birds, and the Sri Lankan leopard.
- Check into your hotel near Yala to freshen up.
- Enjoy dinner and a peaceful overnight stay close to nature.
- Have breakfast at the hotel before we take the coastal drive to Galle.
- Check into your Galle hotel and enjoy a relaxed lunch.
- Spend the afternoon walking the cobbled streets of the Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site packed with history, boutique shops, and cafes.
- Watch the sunset from the fort walls.
- Return to your hotel for a dinner featuring fresh, local seafood.
- Enjoy your breakfast before taking a short drive up the coast to Bentota.
- Check into your beachside hotel and enjoy lunch.
- Spend the afternoon exactly how you want. Relax on the sand or try water sports like jet skiing and banana boat rides on the Bentota river.
- Visit a local turtle hatchery dedicated to protecting sea turtles.
- Head back to the hotel for dinner and your final night by the beach.
- Have a leisurely breakfast before we drive back to Colombo.
